Branding has more in common with a house than people think, starting with the need for a foundation. Modern brand systems do incorporate a visual identity, but that's only the cosmetic surface, like the paint or a front door. The power of a modern brand also includes something more meaningful, that carries lasting impact for a business, its foundational story. An underlying narrative that explains who you are, why you exist, what makes you different, who you serve, and why people should trust you.

As markets grow, so do consumer choices. A parade of flash and fancy noise fills our senses as businesses compete for attention and sales by bombarding us with ads. The old proverb "It's what's under the surface that matters" rings truer than ever in the eyes of potential customers. As consumers, we dig deeper, searching for that connection and clarity with the products, services, and businesses we support.
